We’re Already in the Singularity 

Most people recognize that technology is evolving faster than ever. Futurists like Ray Kurzweil call this the technological singularity—a moment where change happens so quickly, it becomes unpredictable. The word “singularity” originally comes from cosmology—it’s the point in a black hole where the rules of time and space collapse.

And that’s exactly what’s happening here. We’re in a time where exponential acceleration is collapsing the old structures and calling forth something entirely new. Let's visualise what exponential progress looks like: 

If you take 10 Linear steps: You have walked 10 steps. 

If you take 10 Exponential steps: You now have walked 10 billion steps. That's enough steps to have walked around the planet 18x. 

Think about it: your smartphone today is more powerful than the tech that once filled entire government labs. We carry worlds in our pockets. The internet hums through our hands. And while this is awe-inspiring, it’s also deeply dysregulating. 

Our nervous systems are struggling to catch up.  Rates of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and mental fragmentation are rising. People are losing connection—not only to each other, but to themselves. We see it every day: the loss of presence, purpose, coherence, and humanity. 

Technology Is a Tool and an Initiation 

Let’s be clear, this isn’t an anti-tech rant. I love technology.  From AI to space tech to the re-emergence of subtle energy sciences — we are entering a stunning new era. 

But we must remember technology is always a mirror. 

It shows us where we are disconnected. Where we are reactive instead of responsive. Where we seek stimulation instead of regulation. 

Social media connected the globe — and fractured our attention.  Information is everywhere — but embodied wisdom is rare.  So, the question becomes: 

How do we stay present, regulated, and awake within a world moving faster than we can think?
